REPORT:Kirk Herbstreit Sends Message to Michigan After Correctly Predicting Major Bowl Game Upset
The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 19–13 in the ReliaQuest Bowl to end the 2024 season with their second consecutive huge upset victory. Kirk Herbstreit quickly messaged the Wolverines on social media following the game.
Despite starting the season as the ninth-ranked team in the country, Michigan did not exactly have the season they were expecting for, missing out on the 2024 College Football Playoff. Following their victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in “The Game,” they were able to end the season with two consecutive unexpected wins.
Herbstreit wrote on X, the former name for Twitter, “Congrats Michigan football on a great win!! Huge for them and the great Ten.”
Alabama was predicted to defeat a Michigan squad that had a difficult season after narrowly losing out on the CFP. Rather, the Crimson Tide failed miserably, and the Wolverines easily won, stifling Alabama’s attack with a superb defensive performance.
