Rafael Nadal explains what actually transpired when he left his expectant wife in the hospital in order to…
Rafael Nadal has corrected the record over his choice to compete in the US Open last year while his wife was in the hospital, honoring the “brave” mother of his kid.
Rafael Jr. was born in October of last year to Rafael Perello and Nadal; however, in September, Xisca Perello had to stay in the hospital due to pregnancy difficulties.
In Sydney, he remarked, “Fortunately, I have a woman who is brave.” She has consistently supported me to keep going and helped me more than I could have asked for.
She therefore made things simple for me in that regard. Actually, she was the one who pushed me to travel to America.
Nadal left for London shortly after the US Open to take part in Roger Federer’s heartfelt tennis goodbye. The Swiss celebrity was very grateful for his friend’s thoughtful offer, especially because his wife was heavily pregnant back in Spain.
“I will do all in my power to be there with you,” Rafa said to me. And I can tell you that felt amazing. And it demonstrated once more how much we value and respect one another. And I just felt that it would be a really lovely, incredible tale for us, for tennis, for sports, and maybe even beyond that, where we could coexist in a fierce rivalry, prevail, and demonstrate that, well, it is just tennis.
