Power Couple: Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf Gear Up for Another Epic Pickleball Battle After Slam 3 Triumph
Since leaving the professional tennis scene in 1999 and 2006, respectively, Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi have maintained a low profile. Agassi has occasionally served as a coach and pundit, but this will be his largest comeback to the sport in years as Team World captain at the Laver Cup. Graf, however, has mostly withdrawn from the limelight surrounding tennis.
Rather, the couple has lived a tranquil life in Las Vegas, raising their two children, Jaden, 23, and Jaz, 21. They occasionally still pick up the racket, but it is not the
Graf and Agassi have taken up pickleball and are now brand ambassadors for JOOLA, a company that sells equipment for table tennis and pickleball. Additionally, they are not only representing the sport but also assisting in its expansion. Agassi and Graf will go to China and Vietnam from March 26 to 29 as part of the JOOLA Pickleball Legends Tour. Leading JOOLA athletes Ben Johns, Anna Bright, Brooke Buckner, Tyson McGuffin, Collin Johns, and Chao Yi Wang will be joining them.
Their first major pickleball event of the year is not this one. The pair faced tennis legends Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in February during the third annual Pickleball Slam. The outcome? Team Agassi secured a $1 million reward with yet another victory. After winning the first tournament with Roddick and the second with his wife Graf, the American tennis legend was already a two-time defending champion.
