Pete Rose has filed for divorce from his 26-year wife.
Los Angeles – Pete Rose filed for divorce from his wife of almost 27 years, according to court records. The 69-year-old former baseball great did not provide any further information in his petition; he claimed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup. A voicemail left for his attorney, Joseph Mannis, was not answered right away. Rose leads the game in hits all-time. He has acknowledged betting on games that he managed and is currently serving a lifetime suspension from baseball.
In April of 1984, Rose wed Carol, his second wife. He didn’t specify a timeframe for their breakup. In his court brief, he requests that the judge give him all of the memorabilia—jewellery included—that he obtained prior to being married.
