Here's why I signed Ohio state Football 2025 recruiting class Ohio State earned another top wide receiver commitment when Oradell (N.J.) Bergan Catholic four-star Quincy Porter (6-3, 190) committed to the Buckeyes on Friday only a few days removed from his official visit. He’s the Buckeyes 15th commitment in the 2025 class. Porter is the second wide receiver in the class along with Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic four-star De’zie Jones (6-0, 180), who committed in March. Along with his commitment, Porter has reportedly canceled his visit to Michigan, which was set for this weekend, and one to Oklahoma which was scheduled for the weekend of June 21-23. The Buckeyes also beat out Penn State for Porter’s commitment, who he visited May 31. He is the eighth overall wide receiver in the class of 2025 and the No. 49 player in the country according to 247Sports composite ranking. He is the No. 1 player in the state of New Jersey. Ohio State is still pursuing more wide receivers after Porter’s commitment with all eyes on Duncanville, Texas, five-star Dakorien Moore (5-11, 175), Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin five-star Jaime Ffrench (6-1, 185) and Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy four-star Daylan McCutcheon (5-11, 175) as the highest ranked pass catchers the Buckeyes are still after. Wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Brian Hartline has only continued to dominate the recruiting trail for wide receivers with Porter’s commitment.

OHIO STATE HEAD BASEBALL COACH BILL MOSIELLO RESIGNS, TAKING ASSISTANT POSITION AT TCU Ohio State head baseball coach Bill Mosiello is reportedly leaving the program to return to TCU to be the top assistant and hitting coach with the Horned Frogs according to Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball. Mosiello served just two seasons at the Buckeyes, accumulating a 60-51 record while guiding the club back to the Big Ten tournament at the end of the 2024 season. After Ohio State sacked former head coach Greg Beals, Mosiello initially took over for the 2023 campaign. He was hired from TCU in 2013 and served as associate head coach there. Along with several years of minor league coaching experience as a hitting coach and manager, he has also had stints with Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn, USC, and numerous more schools. The Buckeyes' pitching staff had a difficult time, with a team ERA of 6.35, led by Landon Beidelschies, who signed up for the transfer portal earlier this month. With the entire offseason remaining and the College World Series starting on Friday, the Buckeyes will now be searching for the baseball team's next head coach.
