Just In:Mark Stoops Bagged a 4-Years, $100,000 million Deal Offer, Setting a Massive Record!! Earlier this month, Mark Stoops' coaching contract, which is among the best in college football, got much better. Chris Vannini of The Athletic reports that Stoops agreed to a contract extension with Kentucky that would expire in June 2031. The agreement gives him almost $100,000 more than John Calipari and increases his income to $8.6 million year (up from $6.35 million). It is interesting to note that, because the contract was signed the day before the Vanderbilt loss, a press release was scheduled to be issued on November 18th to convey the news. Stoops will now rank as the ninth highest-paid college football coach according to NBC Sports' list of the highest-paid coaches, which was compiled back in September. Due to his compensation increase, Stoops now receives a higher salary than well-known coaches like Lane Kiffin (Ole Miss), Jim Harbaugh (Michigan), and Jimbo Fischer (Texas A&M)....
