Just In:Syd Barrett of the Pink Floyd passed away recently..... After years of fan activism for a permanent memorial, a piece of art honoring Pink Floyd icon Syd Barrett is being presented in his hometown of Cambridge. Why has it taken the city so long to honor its "Crazy Diamond" to the fullest extent? Though he lived a quiet life in Cambridge and was happiest when painting, Rosemary Breen prefers to think of her late brother as Roger. However, Roger, who passed away in 2006, had lived a large portion of his early years as Syd Barrett. However, Barrett's drug usage and mental health problems led to increasingly unpredictable behavior just as the band's career was taking off.
