Georgia defeated Clemson 34-3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday to win their season opener, but the Bulldogs did not escape unscathed. Wide receiver Dillon Bell, defensive end Warren Brinson, and edge rusher Mykel Williams all left Georgia’s game early.

Williams has a left ankle issue, according to coach Kirby Smart. After being taken out by an illegal chop block in the third quarter, he left the game. Although he was cautious, Smart stated that Williams’ X-rays appeared to be clean. Jalon Walker noticed an increase in snaps at outside linebacker after Williams left. In response, he recorded consecutive tackles for loss before adding 1.5 sacks.

Due to a leg injury, Bell also left the game in the third quarter. Bell was experiencing cramps, according to Smart. In the afternoon, Bell ran 27 yards and had four receptions for 32 yards. London Humphreys, who caught two passes for 63 yards and a touchdown, led Georgia in receiving.

Brinson left the game in the first quarter after missing much of preseason camp due to an Achilles issue. Brinson was stepped on and suffered a contusion above the ankle, according to Smart.

Georgia did not perceive safety either. On Saturday, Joenel Aguero plays. Although JaCorey Thomas started in his place, Georgia used Dan Jackson and KJ Bolden at safety and Malaki Starks at nickel back for the majority of the game. Due to a ban, Georgia running back Trevor Etienne was unable to play. With 11 carries, 83 yards, and a touchdown on Saturday, Nate Frazier led Georgia in carries.
