Prior to his June visits to Washington and Syracuse, May made his first formal visit of the spring to Louisville. The Cardinals have been on the rise with May since his formal visit, which took place from May 31 to June 2.

“To be honest, I have had these feelings for a while… “All along, I wanted to be at Louisville,” he explained. From a depth chart perspective, that is a terrific situation for me. For me, Louisville is a fantastic place and a great time, but playing time is earned rather than guaranteed.

Jeff Brohm, the head coach at Louisville, was instrumental in May’s hiring. “The entire process of being recruited by Louisville has been fantastic. I feel like the athlete I think I am because of them,” he said.

May went on to say, “Coach Brohm has done a tremendous job recruiting me as a head coach,” “Recruiting is not your primary responsibility as a head coach. Most institutions are like that, but Coach Brohm did a fantastic job of finding me.

“Brohm has shown that he is a winner, and I support that. I also want to contribute to his success at Louisville. In that defense, I can make a significant impact, and I think my style of play fits in nicely. Coach Hagen agrees, so it is a win-win situation if I can visit and we win some football games.
