Lukas Nelson Shares His Story of Getting Into Music & the Advice….
The extent of Lukas Nelson’s brilliance as a songwriter, singer, guitarist, and bandleader across generations truly cannot be overstated. It is hard to believe that such skill was passed down to a second generation, thus rather than supporting this evaluation, the fact that he is Willie Nelson’s son serves to obscure it.
The last few times I saw him during the past couple of years, I was disappointed that he was not with Willie. He may have served Willie well. Instead of Lukas, Micah was present, but he does not contribute anything. Micha performed at the last two 4th of July picnics in Austin, and although no one wanted to listen to him, he sent the throng upstairs into the concourses. Lukas boycotted both events. Haha. When I saw Micha and Neil Young a few weeks ago, they were performing some very great stuff. The last two times I saw Lukas and POTR perform, they were fantastic; they had truly improved. I hope the best for them!
