“Lukas Nelson Announces Retirement, Citing Personal Struggles: Mötley Crüe Drummer to Step Away from Music…….👇💔
Lukas Nelson has been very busy since his last World Cafe appearance with Promise of the Real. He has been working with Neil Young’s band, for starters, and he also performed and contributed songs to Bradley Cooper’s remake of A Star is Born, along with his friend Stefanie Germanotta, also known as Lady Gaga. Currently, his most recent album, Turn Off The News (Build A Garden), was released recently and features a number of special guests, including Willie Nelson, Lukas’ father, Neil Young, Shooter Jennings, Margo Price, and Randy Houser.
In this session, Lukas talks about the spontaneous nature of his dad’s cameo, but first, we get started with a performance of “Bad Case.”
The talented artist has written the music for the upcoming remake of A Star is Born starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, and will also appear in the movie in Bradley’s backing band.
In October 2008, Lukas dropped out of college to focus full-time on his music career. He called up drummer Anthony LoGerfo, percussionist Tato Melgar, and bassist Merlyn Kelly to form Promise of the Real. Nelson, an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, is the leader of the band Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, which has released four studio albums.
