Little Richard Was Hurried to the Hospital After an Unexpected Medical Emergence….
Little Richard, one of the original symbols of music, passed away from bone cancer Wednesday at the age of 87.
“He was the biggest inspiration of my early teens and his music still has the same raw electric charge when you listen it now as it had when it initially shot through the music world in the ’50s,” Mick Jagger said as he led the tributes.
“So sad to learn that my old friend Little Richard has passed away,” Keith Richards, Mick’s Rolling Stones bandmate, continued. He embodied the genuine essence of rock and roll!
His live performances, which included screaming vocals over explosive piano chords, enthralled audiences.
Additionally, millions of copies of his songs Tutti Frutti Long Tall Sally, Rip It Up, Lucille, and Good Golly Miss Molly were sold all over the world.
Little Richard was a pioneer, along with Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Bo Diddley, and Elvis, thanks to his exciting sound.
In later years, he would often declare that he was the queen of rock ‘n’ roll, even if Elvis was the king.
He described himself as gay, bisexual, and “omnisexual” when he was not on stage.
