“Just In:Philadelphia Eagles sign TE Dallas Goedert to a four-year contract extension through 2025!!
The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Friday that tight end Dallas Goedert and the organization had reached an agreement on a new four-year contract deal. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media claims that the deal is worth $57 million, of which $35 million is guaranteed. Originally scheduled to become a free agent following the season, Goedert is now bound to Philadelphia through 2025.
Following the Eagles’ sale of Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals last month, he assumed a larger position in Philadelphia’s offense and became the team’s undisputed number one tight end.
Since Ertz left, Goedert has been used at an elite level, running a route on more over 80% of the Eagles’ passing plays. He is still a mid-range TE1 and a funnel option in Philadelphia’s attack despite the Eagles’ shift to the run game. Before sustaining a concussion in Week 10, he contributed 40%.
