The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and legendary singer-songwriter John Fogerty has announced two UK dates for his 2023 tour, The Celebration Tour. Hearty Har, his band, and his sons Shane and Tyler will be joining him once more.
On May 25, Fogerty will play at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. On May 29, he will play at The O2 in London, UK.
Live Nation and venue pre-sales for both events start on Friday, March 10 at 10:00 am GMT, while The O2 presales start on Thursday, March 9 at 10:00 am GMT.
On both dates, the public on-sale is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am GMT on Saturday, March 11. For ticket purchases, go to www.johnfogerty.com.
In 2023, Fogerty has a lot to be happy about. The writer of numerous hit songs, including “Proud Mary,” “Down on the Corner,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Bad Moon Rising,” has purchased the majority of the global publication rights to his extensive catalog of songs from Concord. For John, the compositions have been a personal mission as well as a dream that spans decades.
Saul Zaentz, the proprietor of Fantasy Records, held the copyrights to Fogerty’s iconic songs for a long time. In 1995, he sold the label and its publishing portfolio to the defunct Concord Music Group. When Fantasy was acquired by Concord, Fogerty, who had left the label in 1974, resigned with it. Nevertheless, up to this point, he was unable to claim ownership of his tunes.
“I own my own tunes again as of this January. I always believed that something like this would never happen. I am at last reunited with my tunes after fifty years. Additionally, I get to decide where and how my songs are played. That is something I have never been able to accomplish until this year.
