Jodie Foster thanks Glasgow born film talent who helped….
In her Golden Globe acceptance speech, Jodie Foster’s first thank you went to the Scottish man who made her role in The Mauritarian a success.
The movie is based on the real experience of Mohamedou Ould Slahi, a terror suspect who was detained in Guantánamo Bay for 14 years without being charged.
In the movie, Tahar Rahim (A Prophet) plays Slahi, while Jodie plays Nancy Hollander, an American defense attorney committed to upholding her client’s rights.
He has since produced several movies, such as The Eagle, The Whitney Documentary, Life In A Day (which was remade in 2020), and
Wearing only pajamas, Jodie said to her fans, “I believe you made a mistake.” I am a little stunned. I simply had no idea that I would ever return here, and wow. I must express my gratitude to all of my incredible filmmakers, as well as to Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Macdonald, and the actual people. Aaron Rodgers, too! This is fantastic.”
