Jane Seymour Discusses “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” and Why She Is….
Jane Seymour still adores performing despite her Emmy, Golden Globe, and trophy case full of other honors. At the heart of Harry Wild, the 71-year-old is still performing at her best. Seymour plays a retired literature professor in the Irish Acorn TV series who becomes a crime solver after being mugged.
The well-known actress has starred in her own show before, of course. For six seasons and two films, she played the title role of Dr. Michaela “Mike” Quinn on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Who could ever forget that? We spoke with Seymour before she leaves for the 61st Monte-Carlo Television Festival to hear her thoughts on the influence of the western drama and whether or not we will ever see the good doctor again.
This is unique to international television, and it is exciting because we get to meet the writers, producers, and many of the actors. You get to talk to the creators about what they are working on, and they might even think you could be of use. Monte-Carlo is incredibly beautiful. It is a lovely few days with delicious meals, everyone is having a great time, dressed to the nines. You never know who you are going to run into. This is my first time taking my son Kris, who is coming with his wife Miso from South Korea. They recently got married and are headed to South Korea for a Korean wedding, and he really wants to show her the south of France.
