“It would be horrible to not use that” – Joey Logano ready to trade next races for title edge….
In the Round of 8, Team Penske’s No. 22 Ford driver, Joey Logano, had a difficult start. After turning things around with a victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he is now getting ready for the championship race at Phoenix Raceway next month.
Logano discussed the importance of being ready for Phoenix in the most recent SiriusXM NASCAR Radio edition. He emphasized that his team’s primary goal would be to perform better for Phoenix after earning a position in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4.
Please do not think that we are going to lie down. However, Phoenix must be the main focus.
It would be a complete waste not to utilize that if we had earned the right to do so, would not it? It would be terrible to consider not using that, I mean. “There will be a cost associated with that, and it may be the cost of these upcoming races,” Logano stated.
After the Round of 12, Joey Logano was knocked out of the playoffs, but he returned after Alex Bowman was disqualified.
Paul Wolfe, Logano’s crew chief, won his third race at the South Point 400 last Sunday, October 20, thanks to a clever fuel-saving tactic. After that, he proceeded straight to the Championship 4.
