KY LOUISVILLE (WDRB) — A two-year-old girl from Kentucky got a great surprise from the headlining performer at Kentuckiana Pride Festival on Saturday.
One of Chappell Roan’s younger admirers is Juliet Wasson. For the young girl’s first concert, Juliet and her mother journeyed from Lexington to Louisville for the Kentuckiana Pride Festival at the Big Four lawn in Waterfront Park, where Roan was performing.
This year, Chappell Roan’s popularity has taken off. She performed as Oliva Rodrigo’s opening act during her GUTS tour. This Sunday, she will also be performing at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
Juliet looked stunning in an all-pink ensemble for the performance. Unbeknownst to Juliet, Chappell’s public relations staff had noticed the article on WDRB News earlier in the week and intended to throw Juliet a surprise meet-and-greet.
Juliet told the artist, “I adore you,” after being taken aback. Roan gave her embraces as well.
They watched the concert from a few rows in front of the stage after meeting Chappell. Wasson stated that attending the Kentuckiana Pride Festival with Chappell Roan as the headlining act will be a moment they will treasure forever.
They spent roughly thirty minutes in Waterfront Park following the event because a crowd of people lined up to take pictures with the young youngster, who was identified as Juliet from TikTok.
For the first time in the 24-year history of the festival, all 25,000 tickets have been sold, according to organizers.
