I’m Jordan Scott. Here’s why I signed to Michigan State football 2025 recruiting class
Jordan Scott, a four-star small forward from South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia, committed to Michigan State on Thursday, setting off the first domino effect of head coach Tom Izzo’s 2025 class. Scott used social media to declare his commitment.
According to the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings, Scott (6-7, 165) is ranked as the 66th recruit. In addition, he is Virginia’s No. 3 player and the 14th best small forward.
Scott also paid formal visits to his other finalists, Virginia Tech and Maryland. Scott received offers from Miami, Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Mississippi State in addition to his top three picks.
Scott had multiple in-home visits from Izzo and other Michigan State assistants, the most recent of which took place in early September. During his recruitment, Scott also visited East Lansing several times. In his second year of high school, Scott started to be given priority by Izzo and company
Scott previously told On3 that he had a great relationship with Coach Izzo, Doug Wojcik, and Jon Borovich. “I have been up there on a couple unofficials before. I was able to see the school, and I thought it was great. It was a pretty close game, and I had the opportunity to watch them play Maryland at Maryland live.
