“I’m from Atlanta but Louisville has been my second home my whole life. Mostly all my family lives in Louisville and Coach Brohm is an offensive genius
Mason Mims, the three-star quarterback for Oxford, Alabama, has committed to Louisville. Despite having offers from schools like Mississippi State, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, he decided to join the Cardinals. In the 2025 cycle, he becomes Jeff Brohm and the Cards’ first commitment.
The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that takes into account all four of the main recruiting media organizations, ranks Mims as the No. 35 quarterback and No. 484 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. Additionally, he is Alabama’s 22nd-ranked player.
At the moment, he has no On3 NIL Valuation. The main index in the business for determining the projected annual value (PAV) of high school and collegiate athletes is the On3 NIL Valuation. The worth of NIL deals an athlete has executed up to this point is not tracked by the NIL valuation. Instead, it represents the worth of an athlete at a specific point in time.
Louisville’s 2025 class is led by Mims, but there is still time for UofL to complete its 2024 class, which is now ranked only No. 50 in the country by the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.
Joseph Stone Jr., a four-star wide receiver from Fairburn, Georgia, and a previous LSU commit, is the most prominent of the Cardinals’ 14 commits in the class. He is the only talent to join the team since September, having committed to Louisville on November 4. Stone is ranked as the cycle’s No. 64 wideout and No. 389 prospect.
All five of Louisville’s top-ranked 2024 recruits are offensive players. In Forsyth (Ga.), Stone is flanked by two running backs. Dylan Mesman, a three-star tight end from Saline, Michigan, is ranked No. 25 in the cycle, followed by Mary Persons’ Duke Watson, a three-star, and Isaac Brown, a three-star from Homestead, Florida. Deuce Adams, a three-star quarterback from Vandegrift in New Braunfels, Texas, is ranked No. 33 among 600 recruits.
The Cardinals also have three-star defensive lineman Xavier Porter from Tampa Catholic and Cleveland Glenville as top commits. Fred Johnson, a three-star interior offensive lineman; Shaun Boykins, a three-star wide receiver from Radcliff, Kentucky; Trent Carter, a three-star linebacker from Jacksonville Bolles School; and Ransom McDermott, a three-star offensive tackle from Noblesville, Indiana.
