Trey McKenney Announces his commitment to Michigan Wolverines for a great 2025 season!!
“I chose Michigan because of the family aspect and the coaching staff,” McKenney said. “Outside of that, I grew up watching Michigan since I was a kid.
Trey McKenney, the 24th-ranked player in the 2025 class, declared on Saturday that he has committed to the University of Michigan. McKenney, a five-star combo guard from Flint, Michigan, who is 6-4 and 225 pounds, decided to stay home and joins Winters Grady and Oscar Goodman as the Wolverine’s third pledge in the class.
McKenny gave an explanation for his choice in an interview with 247Sports. McKenney stated, “I choose Michigan because of the coaching staff and the family element.” “Aside from that, I have watched Michigan since I was a young child. My ideal school was always them. Their academics and playing style came together seamlessly. Therefore, that was the best choice I could have made.
“Being able to stay at home and play for Michigan means a lot to someone like me,” he said. “I have remained in-state at every level I have played at. I genuinely want to represent my state and have an influence in Michigan.”
