“I’ am going to Michigan because they have a great development:2025 three-star defensive lineman Travis Moten commits to Michigan Wolverines
Three-star 2025 defensive lineman Travis Moten has committed to Michigan. Funny enough, the announcement was made by the Michigan football program’s Twitter account, indicating he has also signed with the Wolverines.
Moten is ranked 14th among Kentucky players and 149th among defensive linemen on the 247Sports composite. The Louisville native’s commitment is not surprising at all, as Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider predicted that Moten would enroll at Michigan the week of the Ohio State game.
Moten added in that same interview that Michigan’s success on the defensive line played a factor in his recruitment. He was among the dozens of recruits to visit for the Northwestern game, and maybe that in-person visit was enough to convince him to Ann Arbor.
The commitment of Moten now gives the Wolverines five defensive linemen in the 2025 class, along with Nate Marshall, Bobby Kanka, Julius Holly and Benny Patterson. There is never enough depth in the trenches, and Moten has the potential to be a significant player in a few short years given Michigan’s reputation for producing defensive lineman.
