“HOT TO GO!” is the newest single released by Chappell Roan.
Chappell Roan has released a new single titled “HOT TO GO!” along with a music video. Her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, is set to release on September 22 via Amusement/Island Records.
Channeling enthusiasm, Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!” is a memorable, unforgettable, and educational tune that combines his characteristically smart and unrestrained composition with the sing-along charm of Toni Basil’s “Hey Mickey.” In the corresponding music video for “HOT TO GO!”, Chappell is shown dancing at her Willard, Missouri, home and bringing her lyrics to life while admonishing others to do the same.
“I wrote this song to fulfill my fantasy of being a cheerleader!” Chappell remarks on the tune. I love audience engagement, so I just wanted to build something easy and goofy that I could do with the crowd. Additionally, he brazenly and selfishly wanted to dance around the stage while singing a song about how attractive he was.
The captivating and unabashedly honest singer-songwriter has developed a cult-like following over the past year with releases like the booming, dancefloor-ready “Red Wine Supernova,” her breathtaking self-written ballad “Kaleidoscope,” and last year’s cinematic fan favorite “Casual.” Her songs have bold hooks, powerful vocals, and theatrical flair.
The synth-pop hit song “Pink Pony Club,” which she released in 2020, was the catalyst for Chappell’s transition into her own brand of pop success. She became a lesbian icon for a generation and a small-town rhinestone cowgirl, providing ecstatic, emotional hits. Daniel Nigro produced and co-wrote the album (Olivia Rodrigo, Sour, Guts).
