The Big Ten Conference finalized the 2024–25 calendar on Thursday by announcing the 18-game women’s basketball league schedule.
In their final league game before the holiday break, the Hoosiers will visit Penn State on December 7 to begin their conference adventure. Returning to action on December 28, IU will host Wisconsin before playing UCLA at home on January 4 to switch the calendar to 2025.
Before returning to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to host Illinois on January 16 and USC on January 19, IU will travel to Northwestern on January 8 and Iowa on January 12. They will go west for the first time to play new league opponents Washington (Jan. 27) and Oregon (Jan. 24).
Rutgers (February 6) and Nebraska (February 2) visit town to kick off February. They next travel to Minnesota (February 9) and Michigan (February 12) for two additional games. When Indiana hosts Purdue (February 15) and Ohio State (February 20), they will host three of the final five Big Ten games. Before hosting Senior Day against Maryland on February 27, IU travels to East Lansing to play Michigan State on February 23.
Before competing in the Big Ten Tournament from March 5–9 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the regular season finale is scheduled on March 2 at Purdue.
Nine players from the previous season are back, including three starters Sydney Parrish and Yarden Garzon, as well as point guard Chloe Moore-McNeil, according to head coach Teri Moren. IU’s 2024–25 team also includes two transfers and two true freshmen. The 2023–24 season was a record-breaking one for IU Women’s Basketball in terms of attendance.
During their 17 home games, Moren’s squad averaged 10,336 spectators, making them the fifth Big Ten women’s basketball team to average 10,000 or more in a season. Last season, IU broke the 20-win mark for the eighth consecutive year, went undefeated at home (17-0), and advanced to its third Sweet 16 in the previous four years.
