Great News:Three-star CB Tyler Redmond commits to Vols after visit to Georgia Bulldogs
Another Georgia commit has been signed by Tennessee for the 2025 class. Tyler Redmond, a three-star cornerback from Alpharetta, was the most recent to declare his intention to play for the Vols on Sunday.
Redmond was among the star-studded group of visitors who were on campus for Tennessee’s Saturday game against No. 1 Georgia at Neyland Stadium. “A family-oriented program and how comfortable I feel when I step onto campus,” he said. “It is close to home and the day they started recruiting me, it never stopped.”
In addition to the Vols, Redmond, who is 6′ 1″ and 175 pounds, received offers from Ohio State, Missouri, West Virginia, UCF, and Indiana. Florida and NC State were also interested. For the junior defensive back, none of that mattered.
Redmond remarked, “I already knew the school I wanted to go to and the offers I had,” “It was clear to me that Tennessee was the best fit for me after I completed all the necessary visits because I knew I truly did not like for any other schools.”
Redmond joins fellow Georgians Shamar Arnoux, Dylan Lewis, and Justin Baker as the fourth pledge in Tennessee’s 2025 class, continuing the Vols’ coaching staff’s recruiting success in the Peach State. Redmond also has his sights set on a few prospects he would love to have join him in Knoxville.
Additionally, Redmond is interested in a few prospects who he hopes will join him in Knoxville. “Certainly, Ethan Utley and Braydon Jacobs,” Redmond remarked. “My guys are them. It would be wonderful if they could remain my teammates for the next three to four years as I have known them for a while.”
Redmond joins teammates Lewis and Arnoux as the third Milton native to pledge to Tennessee. Arnoux committed back in April, and Lewis committed to the Vols last month. According to the Rivals recruiting team rankings, Tennessee’s 2025 class is presently ranked 13th in the US.
