Fresh Contract:No 1 American Player, 2025 four-star shooting guard Patton Pinkins commits to Ole Miss….
For 2025 Frenship, Texas, four-star shooting guard Patton Pinkins, the recruiting journey was undoubtedly different. The 6-foot-5, 170-pound prospect consistently returned to Ole Miss, even after receiving early offers from Wake Forest, LSU, Oklahoma, and Cincinnati. His father, Rebel assistant Al Pinkins, also played a significant role in this process.
After declaring his commitment to Ole Miss, he has now joined Chris Beard’s class of 2025.
The Lone Star State blue chip is rated as the 60th best prospect overall. He is Texas’ sixth-ranked player and the 20th-ranked shooting guard. It was a loud debut for Pinkins in On3’s 150 ranks. He started out as the No. 15 player in his position and the 46th-ranked player in the nation. He currently occupies No. 65. His performance on the court has not decreased in the slightest, though.
He averaged 16.8 points per game during Memphis’ EYBL 2023 Elite Youth Session earlier this spring with JL3 16U. In addition, he pulled down 5.2 rebounds and contributed 2.5 assists a game. The Pinkins made 46 percent of their three-pointers and 56 percent of their field goals.
The Tigers won championship titles and were district and bi-district champions. When playing against the nation’s top players from the 2024 and 2025 classes this summer at Peach Jam in Atlanta, Georgia, the Pinkins averaged 17.8 points per game.
“My dad is back there now, and he used to coach there,” Pinkins remarked. “They have delicious food, and it is a terrific college town.” They adore football and basketball. One day, I hope to perform for them.
