Due to the head coach’s drug related difficulties,the Oklahoma softball team has just been suspended from the competition the play in.
Oklahoma defeated Florida State 3-1 on Thursday night to complete a two-game sweep, and Jordy Bahl pitched three innings of flawless relief to lead the team to its third consecutive Women’s College World Series title and eighth overall.
With a 61-1 record, the Sooners’ Division I winning streak now stands at 53 games. This season, the club has only lost once, on February 19, at Baylor, 4-3. Oklahoma also set a record for win percentage and recorded the fewest defeats of any NCAA champion with this year’s outstanding campaign.
