Donna Summer Expline Why she and Bruce Sudano decided to separate after 45 years of marriage……👇👇
Despite being the voice of a generation, legendary singer Donna Summer was always Mom to her three daughters, Mimi Dohler, Brooklyn Sudano, and Amanda Sudano Ramirez.
In 1973, Summer and her then-husband Helmuth Sommer had their eldest daughter, Mimi. Brooklyn, her first child with husband Bruce Sudano, was born eight years later. The next year saw the arrival of Summer’s third child, her second with Sudano, Amanda.
On May 17, 2012, Summer passed away from lung cancer at her Florida home. She was “at ease celebrating her exceptional life and her continued legacy,” according to a statement from her family. The late disco icon was memorialized in the Love to Love You, Donna Summer HBO documentary, which was co-directed by her daughter Brooklyn, eleven years after her passing.
Now each mothers of their own, Summer’s daughters have carved their own paths and continue to carry on the “Hot Stuff” singer’s legacy.
Dohler is the most private of Summer’s three daughters. The Baltimore Sun published an announcement of her 1995 marriage to Richard “Rick” Matthew Dohler. Bruce Sudano, Mimi’s father and stepfather, escorted her down the aisle. At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in 2013, Mimi went on stage with her sisters and stepfather to accept an award on their mother’s behalf.
