Jeremiah Smith, a wide receiver for Ohio State, leads the nation in both receiving yards per game (89) and touchdowns (8) going into Saturday’s matchup with No. 3 Penn State. He has hurried to get another point.
He leads the Buckeyes in receiving touchdowns, yards (623) and yards per catch (17.8) among OSU players with more than five receptions. Smith was selected as a midseason second-team All-American by Sporting News and The Athletic.
Smith would tie Marvin Harrison Jr. (2023), Chris Olave (2021), and Terry Glenn (1995) with his eighth straight game with a touchdown reception, while also shattering Carter’s freshman record with a touchdown catch against the Nittany Lions.
