Luke Fickell clarifies Badgers starting quarterback moving forward Luke Fickell, the coach of Wisconsin, provided a clear update on the Badgers' quarterback situation on Monday. Only one collegiate pass has been attempted by the four-star recruit, and he does not seem prepared for high-stakes game action. Urgent:Badgers top 2025 target E.J. Walker commits to South Carolina,gives Reasons for Committing.... Forward E.J. Walker, the Wisconsin Badgers' top target in the 2025 class, committed to South Carolina on Friday, dealing them a severe setback. Walker, a four-star forward from Kentucky, had listed Purdue, Ohio State, South Carolina, and the Badgers in his Top 4. Prior to Walker's decision, South Carolina and Wisconsin seemed to be the favorites, but the Badgers were sadly defeated. The beloved Badgers guard had already traveled to Indiana and Maryland, two Big Ten rivals, but ultimately chose the Cornhuskers. After dropping far in the rotation, Essegian had a difficult 2023–24 season, averaging only 7.3 minutes and 3.2 points per game. Fred Hoiberg, head coach of Nebraska, is hoping he can get back to his freshman-year performance, which included 27.4 minutes, 11.7 points per game, 40% shooting, and 36% from three-point range. The Nebraska program he joins qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2023–24 for the first time since 2014. Hoiberg is trying to move the Cornhuskers into contention after guiding them in the right way. At his new home, the former Badger will undoubtedly play more. He still has two years of eligibility when he transfers. The departing production of Tyler Wahl, Chucky Hepburn, A.J. Storr, and Essegian must be replaced by Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard. Although they have not yet received a commitment, he and his team are working diligently in the transfer portal to lessen those losses.

Despite having two years of high school left, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound De Pere (Wis.) High standout knew he had to go to college. He told On3 that since he was a young child, Wisconsin had been his ideal school. It is difficult to beat performing at the top level in front of 17,000 spectators in my home state. I adore their winning tradition, culture, and coaching staff. It seems like the ideal fit for me and fulfills every requirement I have when selecting a school. Kinziger has plenty of time to hone his skills before joining the Badgers in a few years, as he will not be formally dressed until 2025. Playing for Team Herro 16U on the EYBL Circuit, the rising junior guard had a great summer, scoring an amazing 17.5 points per game.
