During his visit, Mbatchou, a 4-star defensive lineman from Georgia and a previous Florida commit, formally committed to Texas, giving the Longhorns a significant recruiting victory. Mbatchou is renowned for his remarkable athleticism and size (6'6", 280 lbs). His innate talent and potential make him a high-reward prospect even though he is fresh to sport. Mbatchou's physical characteristics and natural talent make him comparable to players like Alfred Collins, who made a successful transition to the NFL, despite the fact that he needs some technical improvement. In order to address a pressing need and demonstrate their dedication to strengthening the defensive unit going forward, Texas has now signed three capable defensive linemen for this cycle. Mbatchou's hiring is evidence of Kenny Baker's success on the trail and represents Texas' expanding sway in important areas like Georgia. Read moreBreaking:Texas Longhorns Transfer Justice Finkley Visiting SEC Team AUSTIN Another transfer to a league rival could be imminent for the Texas Longhorns. Texas edge rusher Justice Finkley is scheduled to visit the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Thursday and Friday, according to reports from Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. Finkley would follow defensive tackle Aaron Bryant (Vanderbilt) and linebacker Derion Gullette (Mississippi State) as the third Longhorn to sign with an SEC team if he commits to Hail State. A few days prior to this revelation, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian announced that at least two of the transfers, Finkley and defensive tackle Tiaoalii Savea, would stay with the club throughout the College Football Playoffs. The trip to Starkville coincides with Finkley's preparation for his second-career College Football Playoff game against the Clemson Tigers on Saturday, but it does not seem like his visit with Mississippi State will have an effect on this. Finkley's return is essential to Texas' chances of winning the Finkley, who attended Hewitt-Trussville in Trussville, Alabama, was a four-star prospect in the class of 2022 recruits. One of the nation's top recruits, Tre Johnson, announced that he will be a Texas Longhorn for his college career, which is most likely going to be a one-year affair. He will probably start a very long and fruitful campaign at the top level of professional basketball with his 2024–25 season at UT. As a student at Dallas' Lake Highlands High School, Johnson made his national debut. He faced the historically strong back court of Richardson High School at the age of 16, which included Rylan Griffen (Alabama), a possible first-round pick, and lottery pick Cason Wallace (Kentucky). What was his performance like against two NBA-caliber players two years his senior, one of whom is regarded as a great defensive He gave up just 39 points against two NBA-caliber players who were two years older than him, including Wallace, who is regarded as a great defensive defender. Well done, Tre. Although he can score from all three levels, Johnson is a "walking bucket" type who is particularly dangerous from the midrange and perimeter. He is 6 feet 5 inches tall, has great handles for his size and position, and his jump shot has a very amazing rhythm. In addition to his very excellent talent level, he never seems to mind the defense and, although not an elite, explosive athlete, is still good enough to compete in college and the NBA....
