Breaking:OU softball senior Cydney Sanders steps into new, different leadership role with Sooners
Her goal is not to emulate Jayda Coleman. or Hansen Kinzie. Or Brito, Alyssa. As the only senior returner on the OU softball team, Sanders is establishing herself as a leader.
Sanders remarked, “I think of myself as a leader who works behind the scenes.” For example, I will approach that individual one-on-one, probably without anyone noticing. But I am the type of guy who approaches them and then asks them what is on their mind. since I am aware that I have been there already. She is been putting a lot of effort into becoming her
After spending her freshman year at Arizona State, Sanders’ leadership abilities were greatly enhanced over her first two seasons in Norman. Sanders, however, has the kind of leadership this relatively young Sooners squad needs because to her experience, which includes her time with players like Jennings, Coleman, Hansen, and Brito as well as her personal experiences with many highs and lows.
