California’s Long Beach Michigan State has received the commitment of Leo Hannan, a three-star quarterback for Servite. He had offers from Washington, Illinois, Colorado, Minnesota, and other places, but he decided on the Spartans.

The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that takes into account all four of the main recruiting media organizations, ranks Hannan as the No. 49 quarterback and No. 812 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. Additionally, he ranks as California’s No. 62 player.
Jonathan Smith and the new East Lansing staff, who had come from Oregon State, gave priority to the 6-foot-3.5, 205-pounder. In 2024, he has visited the school twice, most recently in April for MSU’s spring game.
Hannan previously told SpartanMag of the former Oregon State coaches, “They recruited me extremely strongly.” “I have a great relationship with Coach Lindgren and had a visit with them during the summer.” Hannan joins Michigan State’s 2025 class as its first member. Despite coaching changes, the Spartans signed 20 players last cycle, ranking as the 43rd class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
