Breaking:Mark Edward Pope Turns down 1.4Million deal offer due to….

Only a few months into his job as head coach of Kentucky basketball, Mark Pope has already made history. A gritty 77-72 victory over then-No. 6 Duke in Atlanta earlier this season, followed by an exciting 90-89 overtime victory against No. 7 Gonzaga in Seattle, made Pope only the second Wildcats coach, after the great Adolph Rupp, to win his first two games against AP top-10 opponents, according to ESPN. Pope is demonstrating.

Neither victory was an ordinary one. Kentucky fell behind Duke by nine points at the half, but they rallied with fierce defense and clutch shooting. Pope’s ability to rally his team under duress and make critical adjustments was demonstrated by the victory. Even more astounding, though, was the comeback against Gonzaga. Pope’s Wildcats were behind 16 at the half against a team that had won every game while ahead by 10 or more in 175 games, but they refused to give up.
