To celebrate the anniversary of her marriage to her actor spouse, 56, the 59-year-old Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star shared a heartfelt old photo from her wedding day. The duo is seen dancing hand in hand in the picture, and Hermann is grinning at Hargitay.
“19 years,” Hargitay posted on Instagram Monday. “Best dance of my life. Only dance of my life.” Married in 2004, the couple has three kids: Andrew, 12, August, 17, and Amaya, 12. They originally met at a church in 2002 while working on Law and Order: SVU.
To commemorate the anniversary, Hargitay shared a charming black-and-white picture from her wedding day last year with the comment, 18 years old. “Thankful,” she wrote as the photo’s caption. “In love. Together.” The actress was seen smiling and clapping while perched on the Blue Bloods star’s knee in the picture.
Hargitay’s laughing is one of his favorite things about her, Hermann previously told PEOPLE. He remarked, “I never imagined I would have this much laughing in my life.” “Not just real laughter, but the way Mariska is just the representation of joy and laughter.”
The pair used Instagram to share a preview of their summer vacation in Capri, Italy, with their social media followers. One of the pictures showed Hargitay resting her head on Hermann’s shoulder as they were on a Mediterranean boat excursion. A couple of the pictures even showed a tender kiss.
