Breaking:Bru McCoy announces he will play for Tennessee again next 2025 season,’It” is going to be Lit
In the first half of an NCAA college football game, a Virginia defender pushes Tennessee wide receiver Bru McCoy (15) out of bounds.
Knoxville, Tennessee — On Tuesday, January 2, Tennessee wide receiver Bru McCoy declared that he will be returning to Rocky Top for his last season of eligibility. Due to a fractured dislocation of his right ankle sustained during Tennessee’s victory over South Carolina, the redshirt senior missed the final seven games of the season.
McCoy caught 17 passes in 2023, gaining 217 yards and one touchdown. After transferring from USC, he collected 52 receptions for good.
Some of McCoy’s teammates were pushing him to return the following season before he made the decision to return to UT. A few days prior to the Citrus Bowl, Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava told reporters that it would be crucial for the Vols in 2024 to have a seasoned receiver in that room.
