Ben Ahmed, a four-star center, committed to the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday, adding another player to the team’s 2025 class. The big man, who was born in Senegal, will play his senior year at Connecticut’s Putnam Science Academy after selecting Miami over finalists Xavier and Cincinnati.

Ahmed is a massive, broad, mountain-like center who can bang in the paint with anyone in the class and go up and down the floor with unexpected speed and agility. He is six feet nine and 300 pounds. His power, agility, and cunning athleticism enable him to be an absolute bully in the block, where he displays both over-the-shoulder scoring ability and a talent for dunking a large portion of what he receives under the basket. He may not have genuinely great length for a modern center.
He can serve as a competent rim protector because of his more than 7-foot wingspan, which surpasses his stated height.
