Breaking:2025 Three-Star PG Zach Kinziger commits to Wisconsin Over penn state
Zach Kinziger, a three-star point guard in the class of 2025, announced On3 that he has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers and would be attending college in his home state. Despite having two years of high school left, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound De Pere (Wis.) High standout knew he had to go to college.
He told On3 that since he was a young child, Wisconsin had been his ideal school. It is difficult to beat performing at the top level in front of 17,000 spectators in my home state. I adore their winning tradition, culture, and coaching staff. It seems like the ideal fit for me and fulfills every requirement I have when selecting a school.
Kinziger has plenty of time to hone his skills before joining the Badgers in a few years, as he will not be formally dressed until 2025. Playing for Team Herro 16U on the EYBL Circuit, the rising junior guard had a great summer, scoring an amazing 17.5 points per game. In his self-description, Kinziger highlights his strengths as a player and what Wisconsin is bringing to the table.
He says, “I consider myself a score-first combo guard, but I can also dole it out.” Although I am perceived as a shooter and more of an outside player, I believe my athleticism and ability to reach the rim surprise many. I also take great satisfaction in my defense and my ability to perform small tasks like grabbing rebounds and being resourceful.
For the fans of Wisconsin, Kinziger has a message. “You can always count on me to give it my all, and I will stop at nothing to ensure my team wins. I can hardly wait to perform in front of such a fantastic and fervent audience and to help Wisconsin continue its winning legacy!
Zach Kinziger is ranked as the 161st overall prospect in the 2025 cycle by the On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked as the 25th best point guard prospect. All four of the major recruiting media businesses are used in the weighted average that is the On3 Industry Ranking.
