Breaking:2025 Recruiting Class RB Michael Turner, Commits to Baylor Bears. Setting a New Record!!
Texas’s North Richland Hills Baylor has received the commitment of Michael Turner, a four-star running back from Richland. He passed on Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Utah, and Washington in favor of the Bears.
The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that takes into account all four of the major recruiting media organizations, ranks Turner as the seventh running back in the 2025 cycle and 144th overall prospect. In Texas, he is ranked as the 26th best player.
Turner is ranked far higher by On3 than by other recruiting firms. According to the updated 2025 On300, he is ranked No. 82 overall, No. 5 in the running back position, and No. 21 in the state of Texas.
The weekend of June 14 marked the official visit of the 5-foot-11.5, 190-pound beast to Waco. Turner now contributes to the Bears’ increasing 2025 promise list, which is managed by head coach Dave Aranda. Alongside him at the top of the class are Red Oak (Texas) four-star wide receiver Taz Williams Jr., Wynnewood (Okla.) Pauls Valley four-star running back Caden Knighten, and Red Oak (Texas) South Oak Cliff four-star EDGE Kamauryn Morgan.
In March, Turner performed exceptionally well in the Under Armour Next camp in Dallas. Cody Bellaire, an On3 National Scout, gave him good marks:
He was consistently able to separate from defenders and made multiple contested catches throughout the afternoon. Turner is a complete back who proved that not only is he a threat between the tackles, but a true weapon in the passing game as well.”
