Harry Kane says player Tottenham sold for £10m was the best he’s ever seen in the air
Harry Kane has played with some aerially dominant players during his career.
From Harry Maguire to Fernando Llorente, Kane has played with some players who are utterly brilliant at heading a football.
Speaking to ESPN, Kane has been building his so-called ultimate footballer, and he’s named who he thinks is the best header of a ball he’s ever seen.
Interestingly, Kane picked a former Tottenham player in the shape of Peter Crouch.
Harry Kane praises Peter Crouch’s heading
Kane spoke about Crouch when building his ultimate player.
“Heading?” Kane was asked.
“I’ll probably go for someone like Peter Crouch,” Kane said.
Crouch’s heading was incredible
Peter Crouch has become more of a pundit and a podcaster than a footballing figure in recent years, but we mustn’t forget just how effective Crouch was when he was playing.
A Peter Crouch header actually earned Tottenham a place in the Champions League once upon a time, while he was always a threat for England due to his aerial presence.
Of course, Spurs would ultimately sell Crouch to Stoke City for £10m, and in a Tony Pulis team, Crouch was a serious weapon.
Harry Kane is one of the best strikers of all-time, and when he’s giving you your due praise, you must be doing something right.
Crouch was a real threat for Tottenham and England at one point, and while he may not go down in history as one of the most lethal strikers ever, he was a unique weapon who could dominate any defender with his size.
