Over the next two weekends, Texas and Alabama football teams are anticipated to host five-star quarterback Arch Manning. Over the past year, Manning, the top prospect in the Class of 2023, has consistently expressed interest in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.
This weekend, Manning will make his third trip to Texas, and the following weekend, he will make his third trip to Alabama. Last weekend, he made his third trip to Georgia. Last fall, Manning went to a game at each school.
Last fall, Georgia coach Kirby Smart and Texas coach Steve Sarkisian went to Louisiana to watch Manning play. Additionally, Smart, Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken, and Longhorns quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee traveled to Isidore Newman in January to watch Manning play basketball and speak with his football coach, Nelson Stewart.
Manning has visited Clemson and Ole Miss several times in addition to Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. Last summer, he went to SMU and LSU.
The fact that Bill Belichick accepted a new head coaching position after he and the New England Patriots parted ways in January is not shocking. Many people thought that the eight-time Super Bowl champion would eventually find another job since he enjoys coaching.
