BREAKING: Clemson transfer DL Tré Williams has Committed to Michigan For 2025 Program!!
Tre Williams, a defensive tackle for Clemson, has committed to Michigan, giving Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines another defensive addition via the transfer portal.
After spending his whole career at Clemson, it was revealed on New Year’s Day that Williams would be logging into the transfer site. Williams has fought a few injuries over that time and has primarily served as a defensive front-line rotational player.
Pro Football Focus gave Williams a good overall defensive grade of 66.3, a tackling grade of 69.4, and a pass rush grade of 68.9 for the previous season. Throughout the season, he was only given credit for one missed tackle and one penalty, demonstrating his extreme discipline as a lineman.
Williams, who is listed on Clemson’s website as 6′ 2″ and 315 pounds, is a significant (literally) addition to Michigan’s defense. It has been crucial for Michigan to restock up front after the Wolverines lost Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant to the NFL this offseason.
