FOUR-STAR RUNNING BACK ANTHONY ROGERS COMMITS TO OHIO STATE ON FIRST DAY OF EARLY SIGNING PERIOD On the first day of the Early Signing Period on Wednesday, Ohio State completed a successful recruiting flip by obtaining a promise from former Alabama commit Anthony Rogers (5-8, 190), a four-star running back from Montgomery (Ala.) Carver. Rogers, a No. 10 talent out of Alabama, the ninth-best running back in the country, and the 148th-best prospect overall, initially Beginning in the spring, when the Buckeyes offered him in April and hosted him in May, Rogers developed a relationship with Ohio State and fellow Montgomery, Alabama native Carlos Locklyn. Their mutual interest only grew when he traveled to Columbus on November 9 to watch the Buckeyes defeat Purdue 45-0, but he decommitted from Alabama eight days later. Rogers, a track star in high school who finished with 36 carries for 221 yards and two touchdowns and 478 receiving yards and four touchdowns as a senior, now joins a highly regarded Ohio State 2025 recruiting class that already has two running backs signed: three-star Isaiah West of Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep and four-star Bo Jackson (6-0, 205) of Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph.
