In an interview with PEOPLE on the red carpet at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards on Thursday, September 26 in Nashville, the 59-year-old singer-songwriter said that her previous vocal-cord surgery had helped her get over her stage fear. "We did that. The pressure was mounting on us, but we came through in a big way." Despite trailing at the end of the first half, St. John’s rallied in the second half, making 14 straight shots from the field. Luis scored all but two of his 29 points after halftime and Ejiofor added 20 points to earn the Big East title on Saturday. Pitino is the first coach in history to make it to the NCAA Tournament with six different teams. The win sealed St. John’s automatic bid to the Big Dance for the first time since 2019. "Great win for the city. Great win for our university. You hear it all along that it’s New York’s team, and it truly is," Pitino said. "As a New Yorker myself, I’m very, very proud that St. John’s has gotten to this level."

Chris Simms waxes poetic on Ben Johnson's coaching style, calls him "next Shanahan or McVay" On Sunday's Gimme 5 on GN Sports, Kaitlin Sharkey talked to former NFL QB and ProFootballTalk Live's Chris Simms. Simms broke down his thoughts on Ben Johnson's approach as head coach and his style of play calling on offense, giving him praise as possibly the NFL's next Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay.   Three-time Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews received the lion's share of the blame after the Baltimore Ravens' playoff run came to an abrupt and excruciating end. Andrews failed to secure a short pass from Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on a two-point conversion attempt late in the fourth quarter. A completed catch would have tied the hard fought divisional round game at 27. The Ravens were instead forced to attempt an onside kick, which was recovered by the Buffalo Bills. A handoff and a couple of kneel downs by quarterback Josh Al Rather than pointing the finger solely at Andrews, former NFL quarterback and current analyst Chris Simms suggested Jackson needed to shoulder a significant portion of the blame....

It was my ideal position. On social media on Tuesday, Calipari stated, "Anyone in our industry looks at the University of Kentucky in basketball and says that is the bluest of blue." "We have realized over the past few weeks that this program most likely requires a different voice." Many people have voiced their opinions on the subject, including fans, professionals, analysts, and ESPN College GameDay's Jay Williams. The Duke great responded to the Arkansas coach's remarks during the half of the Wofford vs. Furman SoCon Championship game, explaining why Calipari's viewpoint is "absurd." We are discussing what is perhaps the greatest single-season conference in history, despite John Calipari's assertion that he could not care less about winning the SEC Tournament.
