Another Fresh Deal:Eagles steal another Giants player from cheap Joe Schoen in free agency
It appears that the Philadelphia Eagles are using the New York Giants as a stopover for free agents. The Eagles have replaced veteran cornerback Darius Slay with a former Giants DB who may be in for a rejuvenation under Vic Fangio, one year after the entire Saquon Barkley episode.
Even though the Eagles are aware that Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean will provide them an outstanding secondary for a very long time, Howie Roseman continued to search for veterans who could add some extra weight.

According to reports, cornerback Adoree’ Jackson left the Giants to sign with the Eagles. After splitting the first octet evenly between the Giants and Tennessee Titans, Jackson will begin his ninth season in the NFL, providing the Eagles with another dependable veteran with strong athletic ability and versatility.

Jackson has the potential to earn a significant number of defensive snaps while contending for the position of No. 2 outside corner alongside Mitchell and DeJean in the slot, but he is not going to become one of the greatest defensive backs of all time like Brian Dawkins did. Jackson might simply be in need of some fresh air, just like Barkley.
It is easy to look good as a DB with Mitchell and DeJean, but going from a team that was so bad they nearly earned the No. 1 overall pick to a Super Bowl champion with a very real chance of winning a second one in 2025-26 could be the structure and stability Jackson needs to get out of one more high-end season as a starter.
