The news came in like a ton of bombs. “If I step off the stage here today, it will be the last time. “Then I see myself coming back,” confessed singer Andrea Berg (58) in the song “Schlagerchampions.” Hey, are you going to be renting? Not at all! We can offer caution: “I’m going to take a break,” she clarifies. There is never a permanent difference!
The Schlagerstar strotzt nur so vor Disziplin und Power. However, Andrea needs a little peace of mind after the stress of the past few months. You want to write new songs and record a new album. “And then we pull ourselves together, create music for the people with love, and embark on a massive tour,” she says in defense of her choice.
She returns at the latest on July 15th, when she performs Open Air at the Regensburg Schlossfestspiele. Acht Sommerkonzerte, bis 18. August. Then, the planning has already started for the massive “We see us!” tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2025. It is therefore not surprising that she has now missed one appointment.
This particular pause wasn’t her first, by the way: Her most recent travels included time spent in Botswana/Africa with Mama Helga (80), sightseeing in Venedig with her daughter Lena Marie (25), traveling in a convertible through the Austrian Alps with her husband Uli Ferber (64), and spending a few romantic days on Ibiza. “Time is needed,” says Andrea, who manages the Sunnhof Aspach with guest houses and a zoo in addition to her musical career. “I want to be rich every moment and not let anything define who I am. It’s finally our time. We must fill them with so much love and happiness,” she says. She is right. And Andrea, enjoy your vacation!
