Actress Stana Katic is… after portraying Kate Beckett alongside Nathan Fillion for eight seasons.
Variety has confirmed that ABC and ABC Studios said that Katic would not be asked to return for the likely renewed ninth season owing to financial concerns.
For the past eight years, Kate Beckett has been a cherished character on our popular series “Castle.” We hope to work with Stana Katic in the future and are appreciative of her talent and commitment to the show,” ABC said.
Showrunner Alexi Hawley revealed to TV Guide that there will be a significant cliffhanger at the end of the eighth season.
