This is Shocking to Fans!!:Kentucky players have one clear New Year’s Resolution: Win No. 9
Some folks go to the gym to shed a few pounds and get in shape. Some desire to spend more time with their loved ones and possibly attend church more frequently. Alternatively, how about working harder to get that next promotion? Another option be to work less. While everyone’s New Year’s resolutions are unique, they all sort of follow the same pattern of improving oneself and becoming better than oneself in some manner.
It must be the same for the basketball guys from Kentucky. Not quite, that is. For them, it’s about achieving team goals, not individual growth. With these Wildcats, there is also unmistakable agreement.
After Kentucky defeated Illinois State on Friday, freshman guard DJ Wagner stated his New Year’s goal was to “win a national title.”
Antonio Reeves, a senior in his fifth year, said, “Of course, strive to achieve a national title.” “I appreciate my family and friends being here. I am hoping for another successful year. Rob Dillingham, a rookie guard, suddenly arrived. He had trouble coming up with a quick solution and remarked, “Um, I do not know.”
Upon learning that his colleagues had made No. 9 their major aim heading into 2024, Dillingham was a little taken aback. He did not disagree with the objective or this team’s potential to win the championship; he just did not like the way things were going today compared to how Kentucky was feeling going into the season.
