Congratulations:Patty Gasso has been recognized as the Best All -Time Coach In Oklahoma Football History, receiving a prestigious award….
In their quarterfinal game against the Kansas Jayhawks, the Oklahoma Sooners softball team gave it their best. The Sooners are ahead 10-1 going into the top of the fourth inning.
Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso spoke briefly with the ESPN team covering the Big 12 softball tournament before to the start of the fourth inning. The Sooners captain shared her message to the team before the tournament in the interview.
“You know I have a team of seasoned players. “I do not actually tell them much,” Gasso remarked. They are aware of what they have been going through and what they must do. Throughout the season, we have experienced ups and downs. We play our best here, though, and now is the moment. All we want to do is put things back in order, and we arrived just as required.
The Sooner softball team is in a position to finish this game early due to the NCAA’s run rule because they have performed up to the program’s typical standards through the first three innings. The Sooners will win by mercy rule if Kansas is unable to get within seven runs by the end of the fifth inning.
Although the Oklahoma softball team is among the best in the nation going into the Big 12 Tournament, the Sooners have not been as strong this year as they have been in previous years.
After winning 61-1 the previous season, OU is 46-6 going into the postseason after suffering a home series loss to Oklahoma State.
Gasso is pleased with her team’s final-minute performance. She said ahead of the Big 12 Tournament that her players are looking forward to avenging some earlier losses in the conference tourney.
