Urgent:Klaus Meine Rushed to the hospital in a critical condition
Scorpions leader Klaus Meine was questioned if he and his colleagues have any plans to work on the follow-up to 2022’s “Rock Believer” album in the second section of a recent interview with Scorpions Brazil. In response, he said (as reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I am not sure. There are a lot of good reasons why we might want to do it, including the fact that it is a lot of fun and that we can attempt writing new songs.
Additionally, we have an amazing staff that works with us. And this weekend, Hans-Martin Buff, our engineer and co-producer, won a Grammy in Los Angeles for his collaboration with Peter Gabriel on 3D sounds. His current area of expertise is 3D creations, and he is incredibly talented. Working with him in the studio to record vocals and new tunes is always enjoyable. And our setup is fantastic.
“So there are a million good reasons to go back into the studio someday soon,” he concluded. “But, on the other hand, these days, it’s not the time anymore truly to record albums. A few songs could be recorded; that would be beneficial. However, it is always a good idea to go back and spark your imagination. We always like this, and it is always something wonderful.
The majority of “Rock Believer” was recorded at Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover, Germany. Engineer Michael Ilbert, who has received numerous Grammy nominations for his mix work with producer Max Martin on Taylor Swift and Katy Perry albums, mixed the song at the storied Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany.
Initially, SCORPIONS planned to work with producer Greg Fidelman, whose credits include SLIPKNOT and METALLICA, to record the new album in Los Angeles. Due to the epidemic, however, some of the early work was completed remotely with Greg. Following this, SCORPIONS decided to oversee the recordings themselves with the assistance of their engineer, Hans-Martin Buff.
